You can create folders in your artifact library. You can then put artifacts in these folders. Also, you can create sub-folders inside any folder.
To do this:
1. Go to your "Artifact Library" by clicking the "Artifact Library" button on any editing screen at the top, or on the "Choose Portfolio" screen you come to first when you login.
2. Locate the "Create Folder" text box and creation button.
3. Enter the name you want to give to your new folder.
4. Click the "Create new folder" button.
The new folder will appear with the name you gave it.
To put artifacts into this folder, you can use one of two methods:
Option 1: Placement from the main Artifact Library screen
1. From the Artifact Library page, upload the artifact or enter the URL you want to make into a linkable artifact using the method already described for uploads and cataloging URLs.
2. When you register the new artifact or URL, identify its type and use the 'Folder' drop menu to choose what folder you would like as the location for the artifact.
3. Click the "Register" button
OR
Option 2: Placement from inside the folder itself
1. Open the folder by clicking on it. This will show you a new screen with all the items now in that folder.
2. Use the upload feature or URL catalog feature found on the page for that folder to put your artifacts into this folder.
NOTE: You cannot move an artifact directly between folders. You have to create the artifact in the destination folder, then delete it from the source folder.
Alternatively, you can open the file in one folder in a browser by clicking on it, copy the URL for the artifact, navigate to the destination folder, then use the Web catalog form at the bottom and paste the URL into it (some computers and operating systems support dragging the URL directly into the text box).
You can delete folders by checking the box beside the Delete button and then clicking the button.
If you delete a folder that contains artifacts, then you will delete the listing of all the artifacts in it. This does not delete the artifacts from the server. You can do this only by choosing the "Edit Repository" button and then deleting the file.
