1. Go to your ePortfolio account and log in.
2. Choose to Edit the ePortfolio you want to send. Check to make sure the ePortfolio you have chosen is the one you want to send.
3. Click the "Publish" button at the top, left side of the screen while you are in the editing mode. Note: you cannot share a portfolio or have it assessed unless you have first published it.
4. This will publish your ePortfolio on the Internet. Take note of the URL (the unique address on the Internet) for the first page of your published ePortfolio . It will look something like this:
http://dagwood.dgrc.crc.ca/eportfolio/portfolio//851//10214235711049.html
This is the real address for your portfolio. You can securely share this portfolio now using the Sharing features of ePortfolio. See this link to read more about how to do this.
ePortfolio dowloads any of your portfolios to your local computer so that you can archive them or burn them onto a CD-ROM/DVD.
To do this take the following steps:
1. Publish your portfolio first. Only a published portfolio can be copied to your local hard drive.
2. From the screen listing you portfolios, choose the one you want to download, and click the Share button to the right of its name.

3. This will take you to the following screen. Here, you choose the last option, Make a copy.

Once you click Make a copy, our server will start of preparing a .ZIP file folder of your portfolio. You will see this screen as the .ZIP file is prepared. Wait while this process takes place. This can take a while with large portfolios.

4. Once creation of the .ZIP file is complete, you will be informed that it is ready for download. Click the link Download now to have it begin to transfer from our server to your computer.

You will be asked by your computer where you would like to save it. Choose a location.

5. This will place a compressed (.Zip) in that location that will have a number for a title. This file is NOT yet ready to be viewed or burned to a CD-ROM/DVD. It is still compressed. On a PC, right click on the file folder. This will present you with the option to Extract All. Choose this and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the extraction.

On Apple Macintosh computers running OSX 10.2.8 or greater, double clicking on the .ZIP file that has downloaded will cause it to automatically uncompress. If you have an older operating system you may have to get a free expansion utility such as Stuffit Expander from Stuffit software (the free expander is included in the trial version of the software).
When done, you will find another file folder that does not have the "zipper" icon on the folder. This is the folder you use.

In it you will find a "index.html". This is the start file for your portfolio. Some CD-ROM burner software packages allow you to set this file to automatically start when the CD is put into a computer. This would automatically open your portfolio to the home page for you viewer . Otherwise, you will have to tell the viewer to open the folder on the CD-ROM, locate the index.html, and to double click it to launch your portfolio.
