Codes Page

From here you can add users if you have credit left on the balance of the account type.

• Bulk Codes- you supply the details for a certain number of users, the balance on the code is reduced by that amount, and you are given a list of usernames and passwords to distribute to your users to sign in with.
• Individual Codes- you have a series of 9 character codes that you pass out- one per person. They will fill in their account details when they log in. This is often used by the university bookstore who would sell individual codes on cards to the students.

Bulk Registration Codes

Bulk codes are for easily adding multiple users. As each new user is added, the number in the Balance column will decrease by one. The abilities that the users will have depend on the user-type indicated in the Level column. For example, in the screenshot below, to add an Assessor you would have to click Add Users in the row that has one remaining Advisor code (in this case, the middle row shown below with the code DIS113300):

For bulk codes you can Upgrade users to enable them to access ePortfolio. This is especially useful for Assessors, who don't initially have the ability to use ePortfolio. You can also List Activations of a code to determine who is using it, and Add Users to that code.

Individual Registration Codes

Individual codes are best when you want to physically give a student a number that they can enter when they want to create their own account. They will fill in their account details when they log in. An example of this would be selling individual codes on cards through the university bookstore.

You can keep track of code use by listing any individual user codes in an easy to read manner (Show Table link ), or in a way that makes it possible to copy many codes that you can paste into other applications (Show Text List link).
