Standards

Chalk & Wire allows you to set up your system with multiple sets of standards. Several national standard sets are preloaded into your system. You can input as many other standards as you like, including for example national, state and local standard sets for various disciplines.

You can also set up internal standards to track student performance outcomes on specific constructs. Internal standards should be created collaboratively and agreed upon by all parties. These allow you to identify varying degrees of performance quality in specific areas and at different levels of granularity.

Entering Standards into Your System - You may choose from a list of national or state standards sets and request that they be uploaded into your stystem. You may also want to enter your own internal standards. Choose the 'Standards' option from the Admin drop-down menu. To add a standard, click the 'Add New Standard' link on the Standards screen. Name your standard and enter a general description, if desired.

Work with complete standards

• Add, delete, view or rename an entire standard - Manage the standards available in ePortfolio.
• View results by standard - See the proportion of students that have achieved a given level in all rubrics.
  

Work with sections of a standard

• Add or delete a section - Add or remove the sections and subsections that make up a standard.
• Change a section - Organize what sections are in a standard, and which order they come in.
• Change links to rubrics and TOCs - Edit how standards relate to rubrics and Tables of Contents.
