Online reports are based on data that was cached at a certain time (see below). Any data newer than this will not be part of this report. This caching process makes reporting much faster in the online environment.

Creating reports

To create reports online, you must decide what information you want to examine with the report. This will determine how you filter your data. Filtering the data in a Custom Report is done through any or all of the first four filters on the Results Page:

  • Demographic Filters: Online reports are run on all students. Use the Desktop Reporter to run reports with a narrower demographic choice.
  • Rubrics: Use the Desktop Reporter to reduce the number of rubircs you report on.
  • Dates: This is the date range for the data used to create the report. You can change this from the date link at the bottom of the page:

  • Departments: Which department are you interested in results for, or do you want all the results? Use the dropdown menu to choose.

After setting limits for which results will be displayed through the four filters, you then decide on the statistics that will be reported by choosing from the Statistics drop down menu.

Statistics: You can choose what statistical analysis you wish apply from the following:

Statistic Description
Overall Average The statistical mean
Mean, Median and SD Average, middle value and standard deviation for results
Performance Levels The results within ranges of scores
Standards Based Reports Examine the performance of one rubric based on another

List By- The default is Criteria. Using the drop menu you can also choose Rubric, Student or Standard Section. Reports listed by student will include faculty members, if the report was requested by an administrator.
