The image gallery gives you a collection of images to go into your portfolio. It's also where any images are stored that you want to add to improve the look of your portfolio. Move your mouse over the image below to get help.
Department If you have chosen more than one department on the My Portfolios page, you can see the gallery for that particular department by choosing it from the dropdown menu and clicking OK. Each department can potentially have it's own set of images to choose from.
Search Images
You can search for images by either name, or date.
Search for it by name Put a name in the search box, and the search results are listed below.
Search by date Enter a date range within which you uploaded an image.
Image Folders
The stock images that come with ePortfolio have been categorized for you and separated into folders to help you find what you want. Click the name of a folder, and it's contents are shown at the bottom of the page with large thumbnails with checkboxes by them.
Add Selected Images When you've checked off some images, this will make all the selected images available to the drop down images list that you see when editing your portfolio and using the Add Content link. Therefore, images won't appear in your portfolio until you go to the page you want them on and add them there- the image list you choose from there will be the images you've just chosen here in the Image Gallery.
Image List
The smaller image thumbnails with View and Delete actions are those that you selected to be available to add to your portfolio. You can also upload your own images, and they'll show up here.
Add Personal Image Allows you to upload an image of your own.
Add Zip Pack Allows you to upload a group of images that you have zipped into a compressed folder.
View Image Opens the image to let you see it.
Delete Removes the image from your selected list but not from the Image Gallery. This image won't then be shown in the list when you add content in your portfolio, but you can always add it again by re-selecting it in the Image Gallery.
These images are mainly for presenting your portfolio in a better way- you can also add an image as an artifact, in which case you'll only see a link to it rather than the whole picture. You might want to do this if, for example, you have a scanned copy of a consent form. You'd do that from the Artifact Gallery page, instead of this one.
