Choosing a Distribution Scheme

Distribution setting options for Pool Assessment are as follows:

• Send to one member at random
• Send to all members – Keep only an aggregate score
• Send to all members – Preserve individual scores

What Does the Assessor See?

When distribution options are set to ‘Send to one member at random’ or ‘Send to all members – Preserve Individual Scores’ the submission will appear under the ‘Students with Work for Assessment’ heading on the ‘My Assessments’ screen. (With either of these options, the assessor will not see any difference in the way the submissions are displayed from what is displayed currently.)

When distribution options are set to ‘Send to all members – Keep only an aggregate score’ the submission will appear under the new ‘Pending Assessments in Assessor Pools’ heading on the ‘My Assessments’ screen…

What Does the Student See?

For each of the three distribution scheme options, the student display of submissions does not change. If the option is set to ‘Send to all members – Keep only an aggregate score,’  all the assessors in the pool must have completed the assessment of the submission before the aggregate score will be displayed. The student will see the assessment on the ‘My Results’ screen by clicking the ‘Show Results’ link at the bottom left.
