Assessor Pools

Assessor Pools are used to allow a single submission of work to go to more than one faculty member for assessment. According to the option set up for the pool, the assessment may be made by a randomly-selected member of the pool, or by all pool members.

Creating an Assessor Pool

To create an Assessor Pool choose the ‘Assessor Pool’ option from the ‘Admin’ drop-down list. Click the ‘Add Assessor Pool’ link at the bottom of the ‘Assessor Pools’ screen.

Give your pool a descriptive title, and add a description.
Then choose a distribution scheme.

  • Send to one member at random
  • Send to all members – Keep only an aggregate score
  • Send to all members – Preserve individual scores

Adding Assessors to a Pool

On the ‘Assessor Pools - Add’ screen in the list of available assessors on the left, highlight the names of the assessors you wish to add to your pool. Using the arrow button, move the highlighted names to the users list on the right.

Associating a Rubric with a Pool

To associate a rubric with a Pool Assessment scheme, choose the ‘Rubrics’ option on the ‘Admin’ drop-down menu. Choose the desired rubric and click the ‘Edit’ icon (pencil)in the ‘Actions’ column.

Choose a Pool Assessment scheme from the drop-down list. Click the ‘OK’ button at the bottom of the screen.
