My Portfolios - Adding ContentHow to edit your portfolio to add new content, including: adding text, audio, video, images, artifacts, and web links When you've created a portfolio, you can then add information to it by using the Add Content link. You can add:
To edit the portfolio page click the Add Content link.
The Add Content link will take you to the Add Paragraph screen for the page you are currently viewing. Content is added by paragraph, and you can add as many paragraphs as you like to a portfolio page. On the Add Paragraph screen you can add and edit a variety of content including a heading and text, video, audio, or an image. You can also upload and link artifacts directly from your computer, or select and link artifacts that are already uploaded to your Artifact Library. In addition, you can link to another page in your portfolio or to an external webpage.
The text editor works just like a word processing program. Use the controls at the top to format your text: change fonts, size, color, add bulleted or numbered lists, etc. You can also preview the paragraph, and view and edit the HTML code.
Add audio and video files directly from the Add Paragraph page, rather than uploading them to your Artifact Library first. The maximum file size for these media types is 50 MB. The upload process includes automatic compression of your file and conversion to the appropriate format. All common types of video files can be uploaded, such as Quicktime movies (.mov) and movies taken directly from a video recording device (.avi). Flash video files will not upload, but should be saved as (exported to) .mov files prior to uploading. Audio files should be either .mpeg or .mp3.
Add an image to your paragraph by either choosing an image that is already in your Image Gallery or by uploading a new image from your computer. Position the image in the paragraph using the radio button options. You can also hyperlink the image to another internal page or to an external webpage.
You can link an artifact to your portfolio page by highlighting an artifact on the list of documents that are available in your Artifact Library. Click the arrow to move the highlighted document(s) into the column of linked artifacts. You can also browse for a file on your computer. Click the upload button to deposit the uploaded file in your Artifact Library and link it to the portfolio page.
Click 'Save' at the top of the portfolio page when you have made your changes, and you will be returned to the portfolio page. To edit the same paragraph further, click the edit icon at the top left of the paragraph.
As you continue to add artifacts to your portfolio, you will need to manage what's there. You can do this from the Artifact Library.
