Management > My Assessments Page My Assessment Page: Import AssessmentsImport Assessments is a function that helps you bring in data from external sources, such as Grade Point Averages from other institutions or results from a test. You need a tab-delimited text file, in which one column contains the name, email address or User ID of the students, and the other columns contain performance data. Once you have the data in that form, click on the Import Assessments link…
This will start a series of steps that bring in the piece from ePortfolio. 1. In the first step, the data should be pasted in. You should have data in a format which has most of the components of the one below:
2. Next, indicate which column holds students names by clicking the button next to the appropriate Use this column label.
3. ePortfolio will now check the identities of all the records entered and if it doesn’t recognize any, it will highlight them red. This is shown in the Step 3 diagram below, and makes sure that only useful student identifier data is brought in.
4. In Step 4, you will then be asked to identify the rubric on which the assignments should be based. This is shown below:
5. The next import step is to select which criteria within the rubric apply to which column of data:
6. As part of another quality check, any data that is outside of the accepted scale of the rubric will be highlighted. This is visible in the Behaviorally Stated Objectives column, where in this case the value of 5 will be reduced to the maximum allowed in this particular rubric. The two red columns on the right are not being imported, after Ignore was chosen for the column heading in step five.
7. The final screen is a confirmation that the data has been imported successfully. |
