ePortfolio Help

Welcome to Chalk & Wire's ePortfolio! These help pages will give you more information about how to create good looking pieces of work and submit them for assessment.

ePortfolio Overview

Each page in your account helps you manage your work in a different way:

  • My Portfolios - Create and edit your portfolios here. Files you've uploaded can only be graded after you've added them to a portfolio page and submitted the page for assessment. More...
  • My Results - After you've submitted work, check here to see how you've done. More...
  • Image Gallery - Choose pictures to make your portfolio look eye catching, or upload your own. More...
  • Artifact Library - Upload and store files that you want to use in your portfolio. More...

The Portfolio Process

In order to use ePortfolio, you'll need to do the following things:

  • Gather together the work you need to submit- this will usually be video, audio, documents or images.
  • Make sure the files are Web-ready. There's a section on managing files to make your portfolio seem slicker and more professional.
  • Upload your work to the online Artifact Library so that it is always available, or cut to the chase and upload it on the fly when creating your new portfolio.
  • Make your new portfolio- in a few clicks you can lay out the basics.
  • Add pictures and descriptions, and link your work so that it is ready to submit for assessment.
  • Share your portfolio with others at your school, or securely with anyone on the internet.
  • Discuss[pdf] your work with others, or check feedback from professors.
  • Check your grades.

...and that's it! Remember, a portfolio can be a great showcase for your work, so make sure you put a lot of yourself into it. Good luck!
