Assessments Page: Manage Assessments

Clicking on List (see above) in the Assessments Page takes you to the screen below:

This screen shows all students and their assessment grades for this particular rubric or TOC section. Click on a column header to sort by it- the yellow header is the one that the pages is currently sorted by.

The columns of information in the table are as follows:

  • Student- The student who submitted the work. The name will be repeated once for every assessor that is due to assess the work- therefore a student that has submitted work to be assessed by two people will have their name listed twice.
  • Assessor- The person responsible for assessing the work. There may be multiple assessors for any given piece of work.
  • Assessments- How many assessments that person has submitted.
  • Score-
  • Actions- Options for managing and viewing individual assessments. These are described below:

Actions for each topic:

  Action Description
Details Further information on individual submissions are available from here (see below)
Work See the current version of this students submission for this particular rubric.
Delete Removes the assessment immediately from the assessment list, but does not delete the students work.
Reallocate Allows you to redirect the assignment for assessment to other assessors.

Further information on the Details and Reallocate actions:

Details- Further information on individual submissions are available. By clicking this icon, you can get individual information on each criterion within the rubric you are examining, together with any comments that have been put in (see below):

Reallocate- Allows you to redirect the assignment for assessment to other assessors.

Re-allocation is not something you would commonly do. However, situations do arise when a faculty member becomes ill for prolonged periods of time, or the institution may deem an assessor's evaluations to be inadequate in some way. This way candidates can get speedy remedy, ensuring their assignments are assessed in a timely and fair manner. Clearly, you would not unilaterally elect to use this feature. This decision would be made in consultation with the initial assessors, and the appropriate institutional authorities.

Note: you cannot reallocate any marking assignment AFTER is has already been assessed.

Bulk Delete- Takes you to a screen where you can check off and delete many assessments in one go. There's a link to Select All at the bottom.

Bulk Transfer- Lets you select multiple assessments from this rubric or TOC section, and send them to another assessor. You can choose the assessor from the dropdown menu, or choose to Delete The Assign if you wish from the bottom of the menu.
