How to upload new files to your artifact library, including: Add Artifact,
Add Zipped Artifact, Add Artifact from the Portfolio
Add Artifact
If you want to add a new file that you can link to your portfolio,
you
can do this from the Artifact Library page. If you want to update an existing
artifact, you should use Change Artifact, instead of Add Artifact. Change
Artifact will replace the old file with a new, updated one. Using Add Artifact
will give you both the new, updated file and keep the old file stored in
your Artifact Library- even if they have the same filename on your computer.
Choose the folder you want to put the file into. In the case below, the
artifact will be uploaded to the very top of the library. You may also want
to put it into a specific folder- to do this, just click on the name of
the folder first.
Now, click Add Artifact:

On the Add Artifact screen (shown below).

- Click the Browse button to find the file on your computer.
- Give it a name- this will appear in your portfolio as the link to the
file, so make sure that the name is descriptive, but not overly long.
- The Upload button will then take the file your file and store
it in your online artifact library, so that you always have access to
it.

Upload zipped artifacts
You may want to upload several files in one go. To do this, first zip them.
In Windows XP, you can do this by right-clicking on the files, choosing
Send To and Compressed (zipped) Folder:

This puts all the files into one zip file which you can upload easily into
your artifact library by the link at the bottom of the page.
If the files in your zipped folder have the same name as artifacts already
in your library, those being uploaded will not overwrite
the existing artifacts- they will be stored in addition to the existing
files, even if they have the same name. If you want to update an existing
artifact (rather than keeping the old version), you should update them individually,
using Change Artifact.
First, choose which folder you want to upload to, by clicking it's name.
Then, click Upload Zip of Artifacts:

This takes you to the Add Zip of Artifacts screen (shown below).

- Click the Browse button to find the file on your computer.
- The Upload button will then take your zip file and individually
adds all the files in the zip file to your online artifact library.

After adding a zipped file, the files are all individually listed together
in the folder where you uploaded the zip file.

Add artifact from a portfolio
Any file you upload while editing your portfolio will also go into your
Artifact Library. First, view your portfolio, and edit or add a paragraph:

From the Edit Content or Add Content page, browse to
find an artifact on your computer, and click Upload (see below):

After you've finished working with your portfolio, if you go to the Artifact
Library, you will see your file has been added at the bottom of the list
in the library. You can then rename the file, or move it to a more appropriate
folder:
